Kristine Moore, MD, MPH

Sr Advisor for Public Health Science & Policy

Dr. Moore is the Sr Advisor for Public Health Science & Policy. She formerly worked for the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), serving as an Epidemic Intelligence Service (EIS) officer in the Division of Bacterial Diseases. Following her work at the CDC, she became medical director at the Minnesota Department of Health's Division of Disease Prevention and Control and Assistant State Epidemiologist. Dr. Moore held those positions for 15 years, during which time she served as a frequent consultant to the CDC, served on the Executive Board of the Council for State and Territorial Epidemiologists, and was recognized as a national expert in the prevention and control of communicable diseases. More recently she was deputy medical director for icanPrevent, an innovative, comprehensive Web site geared to healthcare professionals covering the prevention, control, and treatment of infectious diseases.

Board-certified in internal medicine and preventive medicine, Dr. Moore has coauthored more than 60 reports in peer-reviewed medical journals and continues to serve as a consultant to the CDC.
