Ms. Larson is the fiscal manager for CIDRAP and the Minnesota Center of Excellence for Influenza Research and Surveillance (MCEIRS) where she develops budgets for grant submissions and works with U of M central sponsored units to complete invoicing, reporting and other sponsored needs. Ms. Larson also handles budgetary, reconciling, reporting and analysis functions for CIDRAP; interpreting and communicating University of Minnesota financial concepts, and performing cost/benefit analysis to assist management in resource and revenue utilization.
Ms. Larson received a BBA degree with a concentration in human resource management from the University of Minnesota in 1993, after which she went on to a career in the hotel industry. She returned to earn a BS in environmental science from the University of Minnesota in 2003, where she contributed to pest risk assessments for the US Forest Service and enjoyed a short stint with the U of M's Soil Testing Laboratory before returning to financial work in 2005.
