Jolie Beckey, MS

Ms. Beckey is a coordinator for the BioWatch Program at CIDRAP. She previously worked with the CIDRAP Business Source, coordinating web-based seminars on business preparedness for pandemic influenza. She received her MS in biostatistics from the University of Minnesota School of Public Health and is currently pursuing a Public Health Certificate in Preparedness, Response, and Recovery at the University of Minnesota.

Ms. Beckey's professional background includes collaboration with clients from industry, government, and nonprofit organizations in the design and analysis of clinical research studies in chronic, acute, and infectious diseases. She has experience with clinical trial protocol development, randomization, interim monitoring, and data analysis and interpretation. She has also directed organization-wide quality-control activities, including development and maintenance of standard operating procedures and training employees in these procedures. Her professional interests include infectious disease surveillance and modeling, vaccine development, and public health emergency preparedness.
