Todd Rockwood
Dr. Rockwood, who serves as an advisor to the Promising Practices Project at CIDRAP, is the academic director of the Center for Survey Research in Public Health in the University of Minnesota's School of Public Health. He has more than 15 years of experience in survey methods. His work ranges from development of condition-specific, health-related quality-of-life instruments to issues generally related to survey methods.
His past work has included contribution to the redesign of the self-administered decennial census form used by the Census Bureau, response formation and measurement issues in SAQ instruments, impact of mode of administration (mail/telephone) on psychometric properties of measures, and factors affecting response/nonresponse to mail surveys. In addition, he has contributed to the development of several health-related quality of life measures, including the fecal incontinence quality of life scale and the fecal incontinence severity index.
Dr. Rockwood's work with CIDRAP's Promising Practices Project is served by his experience with self-administered questionnaire development and implementation of mail surveys. The project is designed to collect, review, and disseminate innovative approaches to pandemic influenza planning and response within state and local health departments.
