(CIDRAP News) – Federal officials today allowed the public health emergency declaration that was prompted by the H1N1 influenza outbreak last year to lapse, signaling an end to emergency authorizations for certain special uses of antiviral drugs and other items.

CDC estimates 24% of Americans received H1N1 vaccine

(CIDRAP News) – Federal health officials estimated today that 24% to 27% of Americans, or 72 million to 81 million people, had received a dose of 2009 H1N1 vaccine by the end of February, with coverage varying widely from state to state.
