(CIDRAP News) – The US Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices (ACIP), at a meeting last week, heard a report about the high-dose influenza vaccine that was recently approved for people 65 and older but voiced no preference for its use in that age-group.

(CIDRAP News) – In the wake of the H1N1 influenza pandemic, the US Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices (ACIP) today took the long-discussed step of recommending seasonal flu immunizations for nearly everyone, leaving out only small babies.

Report: Efforts needed to boost adult immunizations

(CIDRAP News) – One third of US adults aged 65 and older are not vaccinated against pneumonia, according to a national report that describes them as representative of millions of adult Americans who are vulnerable to diseases that can be forestalled by vaccines.
