Injectable drug seen as potential treatment for flu, both seasonal and avian

E coli outbreak strain found in hazelnut sample

(CIDRAP News) – Lab tests have shown that Escherichia coli O157:H7 coli found in hazelnuts from the home of one of three Minnesotans sickened in a three-state E coli outbreak matches the outbreak strain, Minnesota officials said today.

Salmonella -tainted pine nuts sicken 42 in six states

(CIDRAP News) – Wegmans Food Markets yesterday recalled bulk Turkish pine nuts sold in most of its stores after health officials linked them to a Salmonella Enteritidis outbreak that has so far sickened 42 people in six states.
