(CIDRAP News) – Animal health officials in Nepal yesterday reported H5N1 avian influenza outbreaks at farms in the eastern part of the country, while Vietnam and India reported more detections in poultry.

Egypt, Indonesia report recent H5N1 outbreaks

(CIDRAP News) – Egypt reported five H5N1 avian influenza outbreaks in October, and the latest disease surveillance from Indonesia suggests that the highest incidence is in Bali, where three human fatal infections were recently reported, according to an overview from the United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO).

Indonesia, Vietnam find more H5N1 in poultry

(CIDRAP News) – Indonesia and Vietnam reported fresh H5N1 avian influenza outbreaks yesterday, as researchers who sampled birds in Bangladesh's live bird markets reported finding little of the virus, but a fair amount of H9N2 and other subtypes.
