UK officials detail novel coronavirus cluster findings

(CIDRAP News) – Investigation findings on a family cluster of novel coronavirus (NCoV) infections in Britain indicate some SARS-like qualities but a wider disease spectrum and other differences, according to a report today in Eurosurveillance.

Though earlier clusters were reported among hospital staff in Jordan and a family in Saudi Arabia, Britain's three-patient cluster is the first to be fully documented and published.

(CIDRAP News) – Saudi Arabia's health ministry has reported another fatal novel coronavirus (NCoV) infection, the country's second such case in as many weeks, the World Health Organization (WHO) said today.

Britain reports novel coronavirus family cluster

(CIDRAP News) – A male family member of a British man hospitalized with a novel coronavirus (CoV) infection has also been hospitalized with the same virus, pointing to another instance of human-to-human spread, UK and international health authorities reported today.
