China, Hungary, Poland, the Netherlands, Bulgaria, Finland and South Korea also reported new outbreaks.
Meanwhile, many countries across Europe and Asia continue to battle outbreaks of several strains.
As H5N6 spreads in parts of Asia, the H5N8 strain hits more farms in Hungary, Poland, and France.
Also, a study from China says H5N6 has replaced H5N1 as the dominant strain in southern poultry.
The preliminary genetic analysis suggest that some of the internal genes have changed, compared to earlier H5N6 samples from China and Hong Kong.
