(CIDRAP News) – A large, eight-nation study today reported worrisome levels of tuberculosis (TB) resistant to first- and second-line drugs, along with higher-than-expected levels of extensively drug-resistant (XDR) TB.
As the Philippines notes its 2nd case of 2015, Korea has 3 new cases and Saudi Arabia 1.
The Philippines patient, from Finland, also traveled to Saudi Arabia, Malaysia, and Singapore.
The USDA proposes moving away from a per-bird payment for outbreak response efforts.
