Grants to support emergency preparedness for local public health agencies and hospitals equal about $840 million.
Highlights include funds for antibiotic resistance, bioterrorism preparedness, and a unified food safety agency.
The bill provides increases for the CDC, DHS, and FDA and funds for pandemic readiness.
