Uganda plans vaccination push to stop yellow fever

(CIDRAP News) – Uganda is planning to vaccinate about 2.5 million people in its northern regions against yellow fever, following the recent confirmation that the disease is the cause of a 2-month-old outbreak that has killed more than 40 people, according to press reports.

Suspected cases rise as new Ebola strain stalks Uganda

(CIDRAP News) – The number of people in Uganda suspected of being infected with a new strain of the Ebola hemorrhagic fever virus has grown to 93, and 22 have died, including four healthcare workers, according to news reports.
