Feds team with Walgreens to raise minority flu vaccination rates

(CIDRAP News) – With signs that the flu season is picking up momentum, the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) today unveiled a demonstration project to raise flu vaccination rates in minority groups, backed by $10 million worth of vaccine vouchers from Walgreens.

UK leads way as flu activity rises in Europe

Some older asthma patients may need high-dose H1N1 vaccine

(CIDRAP News) – A standard dose of H1N1 influenza vaccine appears to work well in people who have asthma, but older patients with severe asthma may need a higher dose, a government-sponsored trial has shown.
