Yellow fever in Sudan's capital sparks concern

(CIDRAP News) – Sudan's health ministry recently announced that a yellow fever case has been detected in Khartoum, the first one reported in the country's capital in the wake of an outbreak in several regions of Darfur state, according to a media report yesterday.

Study shows modest benefits for malaria vaccine in infants

(CIDRAP News) – The latest trial of the world's first malaria vaccine showed it was only modestly beneficial in African infants, a somewhat disappointing finding after an earlier part of the study showed that it halved cases in older babies.

(CIDRAP News) – A closely watched first clinical trial of a dengue vaccine showed disappointing efficacy results overall, researchers reported yesterday, but higher efficacy against certain strains.
