In addition to widespread H5N8, H5N1 is confirmed in Nigeria and H5N6 in Japan.
Meanwhile, many countries across Europe and Asia continue to battle outbreaks of several strains.
Also, officials in France, Sweden, Finland, and Germany report more H5N8.
Also, France, Switzerland, and Poland report more H5N8, and France notes low-path H5N1 and H5N9 avian flu.
As H5N6 spreads in parts of Asia, the H5N8 strain hits more farms in Hungary, Poland, and France.
High-path avian flu continues to appear on farms and in wild birds in Europe, while Hong Kong reports H5N6 in samples from a nature preserve.
In the past few weeks, 8 European nations, plus India and Israel, have confirmed H5N8, mainly in migratory waterfowl.
