Survey shows parental doubts about kids' vaccine schedule

(CIDRAP News) – Thirteen percent of parents follow a vaccination schedule other than the recommended one for their young children, and more than 20% of parents who follow the approved schedule have doubts about it, according to a survey report from University of Michigan researchers.

Second rotavirus vaccine found to contain porcine circovirus

(CIDRAP News) – Merck, the company that makes the most commonly given rotavirus vaccine in the United States, yesterday said it has detected very low levels of DNA from porcine circovirus (PCV) in its Rotateq vaccine, making it the second rotavirus vaccine found to contain PCV.
