(CIDRAP News) – Lab tests have shown that Escherichia coli O157:H7 coli found in hazelnuts from the home of one of three Minnesotans sickened in a three-state E coli outbreak matches the outbreak strain, Minnesota officials said today.

(CIDRAP) – An investigation of Salmonella illness cases associated with raw almonds has identified 29 cases in 12 states and one Canadian province, dating back as far as September 2003, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) reported today.

(CIDRAP News) – The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has warned consumers to check the source of any raw almonds in their possession in the light of a recall based on a possible link to recent Salmonella enteritidis infections.
