Colorado E coli cases prompt beef recall

(CIDRAP News) – Four cases of infection with Escherichia coli O157:H7 in Colorado have led an Illinois company to recall about 406,000 pounds of ground beef and beef steaks, according to the US Department of Agriculture (USDA).

Canadian beef mislabeling leads to US recall

(CIDRAP News) – A Pennsylvania firm has voluntarily recalled about 170,000 pounds of ground beef patties made partly from Canadian beef that was mislabeled and ineligible for import to the United States, the US Department of Agriculture's (USDA's) Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) announced recently.
