This training module is directed toward a variety of professions and backgrounds including but not limited to: veterinarians, veterinary technicians, producers, managers and others working with the poultry industry in the U.S. and internationally.
The goal of this training module is to familiarize users with biosecurity measures that can reduce the spread of AI viruses to and among poultry flocks. Industry biosecurity practices and principles and their application to backyard or other outdoor systems are discussed.
Upon successful completion of this module the learner will have:
- An understanding of biosecurity principles and practices in various sectors of the poultry industry
- The ability to describe biosecurity measures utilized during a low pathogenicity or highly pathogenic avian influenza outbreak
