As an integral partner in this federal program charged with providing an early-warning network of sensors to detect a biological attack, CIDRAP serves as an advocate for local and state public health agencies that participate in the system in their areas.

The main focus areas for the CIDRAP team include: 1) designing, conducting, and evaluating BioWatch exercises (ranging from workshops to full-scale); 2) developing guidance documents and other materials for use at the state and local level; 3) conducting and supporting stakeholder outreach, workgroups, and focus groups; 4) developing trainings, webinars, and other informational materials to support program; and 5) providing a broad range of subject matter expertise. 

CIDRAP has served as a partner in the BioWatch program since 2003.
