ACIP OKs fewer anthrax shots, leaves flu-shot groups same

(CIDRAP News) – Americans who receive anthrax shots—mainly members of the military—are likely to get five injections into muscle tissue instead of six subcutaneous injections, as a result of action today by the federal Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices (ACIP).

Rand says program to boost bioterrorism readiness works

(CIDRAP News) – A program to help the nation's largest metropolitan area deliver medications after a public health emergency such as an aerosol anthrax attack has improved their readiness levels, according to initial findings released yesterday by the Rand Corp.
