pH1N1 2009 Influenza Virus Among Humans: Epidemiology

Intended Audience

This training module is directed toward a variety of professions and backgrounds including but not limited to: physicians, nurses, veterinarians, veterinary technicians, wildlife professionals, government workers, researchers, students, and international workers.

Overall Goal

The goal of this training module is to provide users with a basic understanding of key features of the pH1N1 2009 influenza pandemic as well as the epidemiology and clinical presentation of the virus in humans.


Upon successful completion of this module the learner should be able to:

  1. Identify key events in the 2009 H1N1 pandemic
  2. Name the assumed main routes of transmission of pH1N1 2009 influenza virus among humans
