CIDRAP is developing a universal influenza vaccines technology landscape, a database of influenza vaccines in clinical or late preclinical development. The landscape encompasses a wide range of novel vaccine constructs that are designed to provide broader and more durable protection against circulating and pandemic influenza viruses, compared with current strain-specific seasonal influenza vaccines. As a research tool, the landscape is intended to summarize available data on influenza vaccine candidates in development to help coordinate efforts across research groups and stimulate informed investments. The landscape is publicly accessible via the CIDRAP website and will be continuously updated as new developments emerge.
The landscape project is funded by the Global Funders Consortium for Universal Influenza Vaccine Development and is guided by an advisory working group of subject-matter experts from the World Health Organization, the US National Institutes of Health, the European Commission, the US Biomedical Advanced Research and Development Authority, PATH, and the Global Funders Consortium for Universal Influenza Vaccine Development.
