H1N1 materials cover basic information, special groups, and school vaccination clinics

Rhode Island Department of Health maintains a resource list of materials about H1N1 in 12 languages other than English. Basic information on H1N1 prevention and treatment is provided in Spanish, French, Portuguese, Vietnamese, Thai, Tagalog, Arabic, Chinese, Hmong, Khmer, Lao, and Russian. Specific advisories on issues that directly affect travel, mass gatherings, workplaces, restaurants, and homeless persons are available in Spanish, with several advisories also available in French. The Spanish- and Portuguese-language resources include communication materials useful in conducting a school vaccination clinic, including a letter for parents, an automated script placing a reminder about vaccine clinics on school phone lines, and a school vaccination consent form. Also available in Spanish are posters and situational information about the H1N1 virus and vaccine availability.
