CIDRAP is leading an international collaborative effort to develop a coronavirus vaccines R&D roadmap (CVR). The CVR will focus on identifying key goals and milestones necessary to develop vaccines that provide broad protection against betacoronaviruses.
CIDRAP has engaged global expert stakeholders to guide the roadmap development process, including leaders on key issues for coronavirus vaccine development, such as virology, immunology, animal models, and policy and regulatory issues. A draft roadmap was posted online in October 2022 for public review and comment.
The final roadmap and CVR website will be made publicly available on February 21, 2023 at 8:00 am EST.
The CVR project is funded by The Rockefeller Foundation and the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation.
