Elise Holmes joined CIDRAP in 2022 as a program manager. She provides organizational and technical support for ongoing projects, center-related events, and promotion efforts. She is also involved in the Osterholm Update and Superbugs and You podcasts as a researcher and producer. Ms. Holmes has a background in global maternal and child health, food security, and emergency preparedness and response. Previously, she worked at the Minnesota Department of Health in Child and Family Health, as well as coordinating COVID-19 technical assistance for healthcare providers across the state in 2020 and 2021. She has provided program evaluation and public health consulting experience for projects in the United States, Latin America, and West Africa.
Ms. Holmes earned a Master of Public Policy degree from the University of Minnesota, Humphrey School of Public Affairs, with a focus on public health policy analysis. She also holds a BS in human nutrition, with a minor in agricultural development economics from the University of Illinois.
In addition to her work with CIDRAP, Ms. Holmes provides programmatic and communications support to the Health Emergency Response Office and the Medical Reserve Corps program at the University of Minnesota.
