Kathleen Layton is the digital communications lead for CIDRAP. Previously, she worked for the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention as a senior health communication specialist on the enterprise-level CDC social media team. During her time at the CDC, Kathleen managed social media channels with high followership, presented regularly to the CDC social media community on best practices, and provided social media support to multiple public health emergencies, like the COVID-19, mpox, and fungal meningitis responses.
Ms. Layton brings over a decade of digital media experience, spanning public health, wellness, and travel verticals. She has a BA in Communication Studies from Young Harris College.
