Nine of the state's counties have now reported cases, though most infections are from the Gaines County epicenter.
New Mexico reported more cases in an adjacent county, with a few new confirmations from Texas in the community around Dallam and Hartley counties.
The latest update includes a case from Lubbock County, pushing the number of affected counties to 5.
New Mexico now has 3 cases in Lea County, which borders a Texas county where a larger outbreak is under way.
Officials say additional cases are likely to occur in Gaines County and the surrounding communities.
